Make ahead breakfast

Hi my loves I hope you're feeling great.I have not been very well lately, reason for my unexplained absence but I wanna cheer myself up and share with you some breakfast ideas.Yes,food is always a good idea. I've been obsessed with breakfast recently even though I'm not really a 'morning person'.Honestly it's the first thing I think about when I wake up.Not even kidding! Here's my 5 favorite breakfast ideas hands down!

  1. Peanut butter banana toast
This is my ultimate favorite that I go to on a daily basis.I really like this one accompanied with a cup of black coffee uhmm soo good.Easy and quick.

2.Pancakes

I usually make pancakes when I'm more motivated to prepare a fancy kind of breakfast.I'm either  extra or nothing type of person, there's no in between.Served with berries and honey is my favorite!

3.Omelette cupcakes

Too late for breakfast but too early for brunch, you know? When cereal is not enough you gotta find something heavier that is when I go for omelette cupcakes onto which I like to drizzle cheese.I know I'm not healthy at all!

4.Egg in a toast

5.French toast

At this point you can tell I love toasts,if not I do!But this one here is really unique. It has a special place in my heart. You can also have it as a snack or for tea time..it's just a good idea.Drizzling icing sugar on it makes it more difficult to resist.

I'm the type of person who gets motivated by food after all a better day always starts with good breakfast! Have a great week ahead my hot-teas ❤

Wedding Wear Guide

We don't really have wedding seasons here in Mauritius. Our tropical climate makes it perfect to  have weddings all year round.I don't know about you but I'm always excited when it comes to weddings, you get to glam up and take pictures and all the sassy stuff. It just changes from the daily routines.I thought I'd to share with you the do's and don'ts of what to wear to a wedding as a guest which sometimes is a bit confusing.

  • Don't try to steal the show.
A wedding is a very special day for the married couple, they'd want everything to be perfect. You don't want to ruin their day by being the centre of attention.Wearing white is okay as long as you're not competing with the bride! If you're wearing white go for the simple fluid dresses and touch up with accessories of your choice.

  • Themed wedding party.
Announcing a dress code in the wedding card makes everything more fun right?!You get more excited for the reception, but it can be very tricky when it comes to choosing your outfit. You're afraid to be too elegant or not enough dressed up?Well, avoid dresses that are too showing off, keep it simple and classy. You can totally enrich any look with accessories.

  • Beach Wedding
It is obvious that anything related to the sandy beaches makes us want to relax. Flowy dresses and light colors are key if you want to slay a beach wedding party. When it comes to the shoes keep them comfortable but still wedding-appropriate.Nobody wants their heels to get stuck into the sand instead wear platform heels that would still look classy but allow you to move around quite easily.

  • Men's wear
Men dressing up is much more easier than women ...that's obvious. It all depends on the formality of the event.A tie or a bow is always a good idea to spice up the look ! Remember you don't need to wear pricey clothes or shoes,it's all about styling.Adding a watch is also a great way to warm up your outfit. If it's a beach wedding party you can totally add sunglasses for a more casual look.

"What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language." Miuccia Prada
Have a nice weekend people!

How to deal with life in your 20s

Looking back I thought my teenage years were the toughest part of life.Oh boyyy I was completely wrong! The scariest part is that is just the beginning and I'm already struggling.First I want it to be clear,I am not a life coach or anything of this kind , I'm not pretending to know a lot of things or to be perfect.I am only 20 and I'm still learning to integrate the adult life which I am failing at till now.Lol

Life's full of ups and downs for everyone maybe in different ways but we're all struggling. Just remember difficult roads always lead to beautiful destinations!

1. The first thing that should be clear in your mind is that you're not supposed to figure out everything now.You might be stucked and confused because you don't know where you're going. But trust the Lord, for sure great things are waiting for you ahead.Patience is key,it is of no use to stress over things that aren't under our control.Great things take time, believe in you!

2. Don't compare yourself to anybody.Just don't do that. I've been comparing myself to anyone that was achieving things that we actually call 'goals' in their lives and the only thing that it brought me was sadness, low self-esteem and I lost all trust in myself. If your friends are graduating, settling down, getting married and you're doing nothing of these it doesn't mean you're any less worthy. It's difficult I won't lie saying I don't struggle and everything is going on smoothly for me .It is not. Rather than comparing yourself look up to people who have less than you surely you'll be more grateful for what you have.

3 .Take risks and be positive.Nothing new in your 20's you're still looking to where you belong or what you want to do.But if you fail in something never give up try something else until you find what's perfect for you.

4 .Don't get fooled by social media.Unfortunately where social media should be a platform where we could freely express each other,it has become the place where everyone looks for perfection.Social media is the reason why most youngsters are suffering from anxiety and depression. The reason being we look up to so many people who seem to be perfect.People only post the good sides of their life on social media. It's something that all of us need to understand. All of us are willing to look ridiculous in public just to have a bomb photo (especially us bloggers lol). You won't see people posting themselves crashing in tears at 3 a.m.We only show the good parts of our life over the internet.

5. Accept the beautiful person we are molding into.We all undergo changes during our 20s ; our bodies change, our minds change, our perception of life is changed. We just need to accept ourselves and embrace our changes. One day we'll look back and we'll understand why we were going through all of these.

Nobody's life is perfect.People will want you to start a career, know what you want  and all of the serious stuffs but all of these can't happen in this difficult phase of life.Do your best and don't stress too much. We won't like to tell our kids their parents were depressed in their 20's where life was supposed to be full adventure, love and joy.
Of course we would like to have advice from the elders to help us through.Embrace your flaws and spread love wherever you are.I hope you have an amazing Sunday!

Red sauce ' langouste'

Hello everyone I hope you're all doing extremely well. It's been a while since I posted...well am back! For the moment all the beach hops has put me in such a 'beach everything' mood. We just got fresh crayfish so we decided to do my mum's version of a 'sauce rouge'.I hope you like it !

For the ingredients you'll need :

Crayfish
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
Tomato puree
3 Pepper ( of your choice)
Salt and pepper
Lemon juice
Olive oil

First things first, season the crayfish with salt and pepper.Squeeze fresh lemon juice all over the crayfish to add extra tenderness to its meat.
  • In a hot chinese wok add olive oil.Let the oil heat the add the crayfish and immediately cover with a lid. After 3-4 mins remove from the wok and set aside. That's how it should look like.
  • In a big saucepan, add the chopped onion and garlic to some olive oil.Allow to slightly fry then add the tomato purée.
  • Whilst the tomato sauce is cooking chop finely some pepper, fry very slightly over medium heat before adding them to the red sauce.

  • Add salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar to the sauce.Let simmer for another 5-7 mins.
Last but not least add the stars of the show! How good looking !

I added some fresh herbs on top.
This sauce tastes so unique. We accompanied it with some rice and hot chilli sauce. You definitely need to try this so yummy.

Ça donne l'eau à la bouche. Bon apétit🍴

Affordable skincare regiment

Good Skincare and a healthy diet can help prevent the aging process. If you don't find the time for intensive skincare, you can still start with the basics.
  • Protect your skin from the sun.
Well, sun rays can be good for the skin, especially in the morning where you can grab Vitamin D.On the other side sun exposure can increase the development of wrinkles, dark spots or other skin problems.Make sure you wear a sunscreen with atleast SPF 15.For a daily basis I would recommend using a tinted moisturizer with SPF or an SPF spray over your skin. I've used the Sun Sense tinted moisturizer(SPF 50+) and I noticed a great change in my skin pigmentation.I use an actual sunscreen when going to the beach.

As we all know the ideal time to take care of our skin is in the early 20's so I've listed products that has worked for me.If you have a different skin texture or a different diet than me maybe it won't work for you but you can still give it a try and send me feedbacks later on!For now let's jump into the actual skincare.

1. Cleanser

Cleaning your skin is one of the major things you want to do to have clear skin.I would recommend to try a few cleansers and see what works best for you and stick to it.Switching between too much products can cause disbalance and thus affect your skin.Personally I've been using this Bourjois Fresh cleansing gel  for a year now and I can only tell good things about it.Being an affordable and drugstore product it does the job perfectly without leaving any dry patches or causing irritation. It is also very affordable and you can easily get your hands on it.I also like the Neutrogena cleanser and recommend it if you have more problematic skin.

2.Make-up remover.

Avoid using make up remover wipes, these often leave the skin dry.Instead use oils to remove your make up.I personally use coconut oil as make up remover or the Diadermine Lait demaquillant. It's a great one!

3.. Exfoliant.

When it comes to exfoliants you really want to be careful about the type of your skin.Honestly for me most of the exfoliants I've used till now have made my skin worst.Dry patches, breakouts, dark spots..just terrible. For my part I use a natural DIY exfoliant with simple ingredients you'll find in your kitchen.Ground coffee +sugar +coconut oil. That's it! Just mix all the ingredients and you have the best exfoliant ever. Not only does it removes dead skin but the coconut oil in it helps moisturize the skin which I think is so important.Be careful not to exfoliate your skin too often you'll end up damaging the masterpiece.

3. Masks

Just like we do like to treat ourselves with awesome cooking and extra cleaning on our off days,it's good that we take time to do intensive cleaning of the skin at least once a week.I know it's time consuming but it's a must if you don't want to regret your bad choices in your 40's. Lol! You might have noticed till now that I prefer natural ingredients(if not then I do!) My ultimate go to mask is the tumeric mask which is so easy to make. All you need is tumeric, honey and a little bit of milk. This mask really helps fade out dark spot that have been there since your teen days.It also helps with the small annoying pimple that we get specially on the forehead due to unhealthy diet.*eyeroll*.Other than that there are masks that I really love and I'm also going back to.They're from the face shop and they're affordable but also refreshes the skin instantly. My favorites are the honey mask and the mung bean one. These are amazing. You should try them!

4. Moisturizer.

I know a lot of people don't like to moisturize their skin.I'm one of them but I've learnt over time and noticed the wellness it does to your skin. You get that instant healthy glow which we all want.I'm currently using the L'oréal Hydra-Total moisturizer which feels amazing but is also very light on the skin.I don't like thick heavy moisturizers as I like to let the skin breathe.Another moisturizer/oil that I recommend is the Bio oil.I use this right before I go to bed as it's a little bit heavier of a moisturizer than I like but it's great and what's super about it is that you can use it all over your body. The bio oil is very effective for stretch marks too!I also like the Appelles lotion,it's light-weight and keeps you well hydrated. The only drawback I can say about it is that it does break you out when your first use it as it's getting rid of all the impurities from your skin.Just like a skin detox!

5. Eyecream.

I have very bad under eyes and I've tried to cover the mess with color correctors, concealers and powders but let's be honest these won't help change the dark circles or the eye bags most of us have. The under eye skin is more thin thus more sensitive so that is why I like to take care of them even if I'm young.I been using the anew eye cream which is a great one.It has two parts the cream and the elixir(which you put above the eye cream).

6.Lipscrub

For all of you who wear matte liquid lipsticks which crack the heck out of your lips, watch out.A quick natural exfoliating mask that I use which is also very popular➡ the olive oil sugar mask. You just mix sugar with the olive oil or coconut oil if you prefer then gently applying it on your skin using circular motions. This mask is vert effective.I'm always amazed by the texture of my lips after doing this.To moisturize my lips throughout the day I use the basic ChapStick or the Maybelline babylips nothing too fancy.

Last but not least I wanted to share with you how I take care of my lashes which is something most of us don't care about. All the thick waterproof mascara we wear damages our eyelashes so once in a while I like to give them a pamper session. To help them get longer and healthier mix fresh aloe vera together with castor oil and coconut oil.Apply it to you eyelashes with your fingers or an old mascara brush and leave overnight. On my lazy days which is almost everyday (hahaha) I just apply vaseline to my lashes and leave it overnight. You'll be amazed by the results.

Remember that whatever products you're using in your skincare routine whether they're high end, drugstore or natural products consistency is key if you want to see results. With that said I hope you learnt new tips and tricks for having amazing skin and don't forget to share your tips about skincare in the comments below.Love you All.

Top 7 ways to be productive

Hey there!I hope you all had an amazing weekend.Last week was a bit chaotic for me.Hopefully this week brings more positive vibes to all of us❤.Now more than ever, sadly, it has become more and more difficult to stay productive due to all the negavitity of this world.I'm sharing with you the tips that have personally helped me being productive.

1) Plan your day.

By doing this you'll find yourself in better control of your life.Take the time to note down the things you need to do for every particular day. That is really going to help you not weighing a lot on your mind.If you have a planner that's better,it keeps you motivated every morning.Remember this quote by Zig ziglar 'You were born to win,but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win and expect to win.'How motivating!

2) Exercise.

Working out is much better than you think it is for you.Not only does it keeps you fit physically but it also helps you be spiritually calm.Whether it's jogging or yoga,it'll give you the strength to go beyond your limits. We all know it is a difficult step in our life,it is for me too but hey at the end it's worth all the efforts.

3) Get out of your comfort zone.

Yes,get out of your comfort zone!I know this is a crucial subject.I myself always try to avoid doing this. But it can only do good things to us.If you want to be successful and do the most of you day try this even if it means nothing special to others.

4) Implement a routine.

It doesn't matter what type of routine or how organized your routine is; just have one.Any routine puts things in order without you stressing that much.Start little by little even if it's only the time you need to wake up or the workout you're going to do.

5) Cleaning.
I know I am a cleaning freak but besides this cleaning is really important. We're not only talking about those who go to their offices daily. This applies also if you're a stay at home mom or you just work from home.A clean working space always gives you a fresh start to target your daily objectives.

6) Sleep well.
7 to 9 hours of sleep is a must for each and everyone of us.Having a good amount of sleep ensures you to be energetic and productive the next day.If you have problems to sleep well try going to bed at a time where you're really tired.

7) Take regular breaks.

Coffee or tea breaks really help from the stress you go through a day. Many of us neglect this badly needed moment.Try take some time for yourself whether it's about reading a book, checking your social media or simply rest.

I really hope these tips help you be the best version of yourselves.
